ABOUT US
Love Your Earth TM is a Boutique located near the Denver Highlands in the lovely Berkeley neighborhood. The shoppe is located at 4110 Tennyson St. Denver, CO 80212. What makes this boutique unique? Owners and sister-in-laws Laura Hess and Angie Graham are committed to running an eco-friendly boutique in which ALL goods are Local, Organic, or Recycled.
All artists are from Colorado, most reside in the Denver and Boulder areas. Goods include: baby and kids items, jewelry, wall art, home accessorires, paperie, organic totes, furniture, and recycled high end clothes (mainly premium jeans). There's a funky mix of new and vintage items.
The business is run by Laura and Angie. However a handful of artists, known as vendors, also help operate the store. In turn, these artists have more boutique space for their goods to create their own display, and have the opportunity to have "trunk shows" or "art showings" during non-operating hours. These vendors really take an active role in the daily operations of the boutique. It allows for a more collaborative effort. Owners Laura and Angie really feel that this could be a stepping stone for the vendors to one day have their own boutique or gallery if they choose.
The name Love Your Earth TM comes from Angie's grassroots project. She has been trying to increase awareness about the dangers of plastic bags to the environment and especially to the sea turtles. Angie sells organic, made in the USA totes, which are printed by at-risk youth from right here in Denver at www.youthbiz.org. Angie ran into obstables trying to get her totes into area Denver stores after many wanted to price them too high. She is on a mission to decrease the rampant use of plastic bags and needed a way for people to obtain her totes. Please check out her website http://www.LoveYourEarth.org
Laura and Angie decided to turn this obstacle into an opportunity and opened a boutique. They saw that there was a need for artists to have a fair opporutnity to showcase their goods. They then took it one step further by creating an eco-friendly boutique. Their mission includes that ALL goods need to be Local, Organic, or Reyclced (and of course, darling). In addition, 1% of their sales goes to 1% for the Planet. The non-profit chosen for the Boutique's donations is The Sea Turtle Restoration Project. They are big believers in "Pay It Forward" and believe their boutique is the epitome of that concept.
Northwest Denver has been very receptive to the goal of Love Your Earth TM Boutique. Laura and Angie are very thankful for the warm welcome. The locals haveen supportive and have stated that they are exicited to have this new additon to the Berekely neighborhood. Laura and Angie really feel that the location of Love Your Earth TM Boutique is perfect with their stated mission.
